I believe that’s different depending on the stage of life where we are in. It is deeply influenced by our surroundings, upbringing and family. Often times when we finally achieve what we wanted so badly we realise there is some new sense of emptiness, so what really success look like then? During high school and the University, success meant going to a top university, being ahead of everybody else and achieving finding a well paid job, buying a house, and to everybody’s eyes, that person was successful. I did that. The top University, the engineering, not the job I skipped that, the living overseas, the buying a property and working very hard. Once that was done, it felt good, but what really means success in life? I did all of that to achieve recognition and status. Now I believe I have a new better idea of what success look like, however, I now encounter a new challenge, the drive to do everything it takes is not there. Organising the pictures from the last 8 years reminds me of who I was, what I cared about, what was important and got forgotten. It’s a great exercise to have a conversation with our previous self. We are definitely different year by year. The experiences and life continúe to shape us. Good also to remember our dreams and passions.
