The thing most people don’t seem to have time for and matters the most

It’s funny we are given everything we need to feel well. Yet, it’s never enough and we are always chasing the next thing, the next degree, the next higher paid job, the next business opportunity, the next relationship, the next holidays, etc.

But rarely we take the time to actually appreciate what we have, to be grateful, to enjoy our present fully without thinking of the past or worrying about the future.

Then at some point the challenges appear, suddenly something is taken away from us, our health, our freedom, a beloved person, a pet, a job, etc.

And it’s only at that point, in our low points when we finally seem to gain a better perspective of life, appreciate more what was taken from us.

And realise all of that we were always chasing was an illusion, and we always had what was needed to feel well, happy, aligned.

Today dear friend, I invite you to breathe deeply, accept the challenges of life as what is normal in life, and appreciate, be grateful for all the most simple and essential things of life.

Be grateful for your parents, and let them know you are grateful for them, feel grateful for the freedom of walking and going to different places, for the sun we enjoy, for the sleep we are able to have, for our body working miraculously to help us get the best experience in this world, for the opportunity to do exercise, for our beloved ones we have the chance to share with, and for so much more.

Conclusion: We spend our lives chasing things we believe will make us more successful and somehow achieve more happiness, not knowing that it only comes the day we decide to be grateful for all we enjoy, knowing that that is enough, and I’m enough. Gratitude is that last milestone for true happiness most people don’t seem to have time for…
